Inspired by the Zoroastrian cosmos - the eternal tension of light and darkness - and the concentric celestial spheres of Sasanian Persian astronomy. The SERICA Eclipse Ring is mirror-polished in 925 sterling silver with 18K gold vermeil. Three concentric layers radiate outward from center: a 6mm natural Japanese pearl like a nascent sun, a middle ring of natural white mother-of-pearl like solar corona, and an outer ring of natural black shell like the deep cosmos. Hand-applied milgrain borders separate each layer. 16.8mm face diameter. Between black and white, light is born - a total eclipse over the Silk Road desert. Shower-safe. Polish with a soft cloth.
